Turkey deports 136 Afghan migrants to their country

The authorities of the eastern province of Van, Turkey, Thursday, deported 136 Afghan immigrants who had entered the country illegally by flight.

The Anatolia correspondent, quoting sources in the Pawan Immigration Department, stated that the teams arrested 408 Afghans in different times and places in the state and transferred them to the deportation center.

The sources indicated that on Thursday, the concerned authorities returned 136 migrants to their countries on a chartered flight through the “Fred Millen” Point Airport.

It added that the authorities will return the rest of the 272 migrants via two flights tomorrow, Friday.

In a statement to reporters, the Director of the Immigration Department, Jumaa Oumourja, affirmed that they will continue to combat irregular migration with determination.
