Turkey.. Chemical exports record $33.6 billion in 2022

Turkey’s exports of chemical materials and products amounted to $33.6 billion during the past year 2022, according to the Sector Exporters’ Union.

Adel Balester, head of the Chemical Exporters Union, said on Tuesday that the union aims to increase exports this year to $36 billion.

He stressed that the chemical industry has a strategic importance for the development of Turkey’s economy and the future of its exports, and that efforts are continuing to reach a position among the global producers of the sector.

The chemical products sector aims to reach revenues of $50 billion within Turkey’s 2030 vision, according to Pallister.

He pointed out that the union’s participation in many exhibitions targeting the chemical importing markets to obtain the largest share of global trade in the sector.

The countries that import the most Turkish chemical products are the Netherlands, the United States, Italy, Romania, Lebanon, Russia, Germany, Spain, Iraq and South Africa.
