On Monday, the Turkish security authorities in Mersin arrested 8 people suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization “ISIS”.
According to a statement by the Mersin Security Directorate (south), the suspects were arrested in a simultaneous security operation targeting the homes of 10 suspects, 8 of whom were arrested.
The statement indicated that the detainees are suspected of propaganda and financing terrorist organizations.
The Turkish authorities are continuing their efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects.
Earlier, 16 people suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization “ISIS” were arrested in Istanbul.
