The consumer price index (inflation) in Turkey rose by 5.46 percent last March on a monthly basis, to reach 61.14 percent on an annual basis.
According to the data of the Turkish Statistics Authority on Monday, the producer price index also rose in March by 9.19 percent on a monthly basis, while it reached 114.97 percent on an annual basis.

The consumer price index measures the changes that occur in the general level of prices based on tracking a basket that includes all goods and services consumed within a particular country.
In February, the inflation index in Turkey rose by 4.81 percent on a monthly basis to 54.44 percent on an annual basis.
