Turkey: 8,585 foreign terrorists have been deported since 2011

The Turkish Ministry of Interior announced the deportation of 8,585 foreign terrorists of 102 nationalities from 2011 until today.

The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that it is continuing the activities of deporting foreigners coming to its territory.

With the aim of joining terrorist organizations such as the PYD/PKK and ISIS (in the fighting areas in Syria and Iraq)

It added that 8,585 foreign terrorists have been deported outside its borders from 102 countries since the outbreak of events in Syria in 2011.

The statement pointed out that 1,075 of these terrorists hold the citizenship of one of the European Union countries and 44 of the United States.

He explained that the Turkish authorities deported 126 terrorists to 12 European countries in 2019, and 95 terrorists to 8 European countries last year.

And 61 terrorists to 8 European countries during the first 10 months of this year.

The statement indicated that France ranked first in the number of terrorists deported to it, followed by Germany, then the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Sweden, Romania, and Britain.
