Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli confirmed that 8 people, including 3 Turks, died in the crash of a Russian firefighting plane while it was participating in extinguishing a forest fire in southern Turkey.

This came in a press conference in the state of Kahramanmaras (south) after inspecting from the air the site of the plane crash.
Pakdemirli has mercy on the victims of the accident, asking God to inspire their family’s patience.
He pointed out that it is necessary to wait for the results of the technical investigations to make statements about the details of the circumstances of the accident.
He stressed that the concerned authorities will make the necessary statements after examining the black box of the plane and inspecting the site of the accident.
Earlier on Saturday, a firefighting plane chartered by Turkey from Russia crashed while it was participating in extinguishing a forest fire in the state of Kahramanmaras.
