The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the neutralization of 3 PKK/YPG terrorists after they tried to target the Operation Peace Spring area in northern Syria.

The ministry said in a statement on Friday that its forces prevented a new attack attempt by the PKK/YPG.
It explained that the Turkish commando forces were able to neutralize 3 terrorists belonging to the organization after monitoring their readiness to target the “Spring of Peace” area.
On October 9, 2019, the Turkish army, with the participation of the Syrian National Army, launched Operation Peace Spring east of the Euphrates River.
This is to cleanse it of the YPG/PKK and ISIS and to establish a safe area for the return of Syrian refugees to their country.

The Turkish army suspended the operation on October 17 of the same year after Ankara and Washington reached an agreement to withdraw terrorists from the region, followed by an agreement with Russia in Sochi on the 22nd of the same month.
