The Turkish economy is growing by 5.9 percent

The Turkish economy achieved growth of 5.9 percent in the third quarter of this year 2023.

This came from data published by the Turkish Statistics Authority on Thursday, showing that the economy achieved growth of 5.9 percent during the third quarter of this year compared to the same period of the previous year.

The data indicated that the gross domestic product in the third quarter of this year increased by 79.8 percent compared to the same period of the current year, reaching 7 trillion, 681 billion, and 432 million Turkish liras (about 295 billion and 815 million dollars).

Thus, the Turkish economy has achieved growth over 13 consecutive quarters, starting from the second quarter of 2020.

It is noteworthy that the average forecast of economists for the growth of the Turkish economy for the third quarter of this year reached 5.19 percent.
