The groom who is about to get married in the judiciary faces difficult moments as a result of the prevailing traditions and customs, such as “waiting for the bride’s convoy, breaking glass and feeding him against his will.”

In this context, friends of Sajid Uzan, a newlywed, fed him baklava with hot tomato sauce (ketchup) as well as other foods, then broke eggs on his head and sprinkled him with flour, vinegar, milk and honey before washing him with a hose.

Sajid explained that he lived through difficult moments due to the banter of his friends on his wedding day.

For his part, the father of the groom, Ahmed Ozan, stated that they live in Istanbul, but they wanted to hold the wedding ceremony in the district of their hometown, according to the prevailing customs and traditions.
