The families of the seven Turks who were released in Libya after being held captive for nearly two years were overjoyed.

Among these Turks, Hidayat Yabruk, whose family in the southern province of Hatay received the news of their rescue with great joy.

In her speech, his wife, Nurai Yabraq, said that her husband had gone to Libya two years ago to work.

She added that she went through difficult days with her three children during her husband’s absence.

She was very happy that her husband was rescued from detention.

In turn, Sogin Yabraq (29 years), son of Hidayat Yabraq, said that they did not know their father’s fate for the past two years, and expressed his happiness over his father’s rescue from detention.

With the joint efforts of the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the Turkish and Qatari intelligence services, 7 Turkish citizens were rescued.

They had been held in eastern Libya for nearly two years due to baseless allegations.

In a statement on Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed the arrival of the seven citizens to the country, following unremitting efforts and contacts to rescue them.
