Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji discussed with the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad Alireza Gonani on Saturday.
It was about the political and security developments in the region and the strengthening of joint cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
This came according to a statement issued by the Iraqi National Security Adviser.
The statement stated that “the Iraqi National Security Adviser received in his office the Turkish ambassador to Baghdad, Alireza Gonani.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest political and security developments in the region, and the strengthening of joint cooperation between Baghdad and Ankara in all fields.
According to the statement, Al-Araji expressed his hope that “the current stage will witness more joint cooperation to serve the interests of the two neighboring countries and peoples.”
For his part, Gonani said, according to the statement, that “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to make a special visit to Iraq,” without specifying the date, pointing out that “the stability of Iraq is the stability of the region as well.”
Iraq enjoys extensive political and economic relations with Turkey.
