The Chamber of Commerce of the Turkish state of Izmir announced that the first passenger ship will leave tomorrow, Monday, from the Greek city of Thessaloniki, to the city of Izmir.

A statement issued by the Chamber on Sunday said that a passenger ship belonging to the Greek-based “Levante Ferries” company will make the first trip from Thessaloniki at 17:00 on Monday, heading to Izmir.
The statement added that the ship’s trips will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 19:00 pm and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 19:00 pm from Izmir to Thessaloniki, and the trips are expected to take between 12 and 13 hours.

According to the statement, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, “Mahmoud Ozganar,” said: “We can develop an integrated means of transportation that starts from Izmir by sea, all the way to Thessaloniki and then Europe.”
