Red pepper has a unique aroma and is especially used in the production of sauces and seasonings used in food.
Hatay Agriculture and Forestry Director Ergun Çolaoglu explained that the region has very fertile soil suitable for year-round cultivation.
He said, “Capia pepper production is mostly carried out in the regions of Antakya, Arsuz, Altinozu and Reyhanli, and we expect the production of peppers from the mentioned regions to reach 61 thousand tons.”
