Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of condolences to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the victims of a mine explosion in Barten.

Putin expressed his sincere condolences to President Erdogan for the victims of the accident, according to a statement issued by the Kremlin on Saturday.

He also expressed his grief and solidarity with the families of the victims and their families, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

On Saturday, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the death toll from the mine explosion in the northern state of Barten had risen to 28.
