President Erdogan arrives in Doha to attend the closing of the World Cup

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived Sunday in the Qatari capital, Doha, to attend the closing ceremony of the Qatar World Cup 2022, at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Qatari Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al-Ali and Turkish Ambassador to Doha Mustafa Kokso received President Erdogan and his accompanying delegation at Hamad International Airport.

Erdogan is accompanied on his visit by Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Qasab Oglu, Head of the Communications Department in the Presidency, Fakhruddin Altun, Spokesman for the Presidency Ibrahim Kalin, and several representatives of the Justice and Development Party in Parliament.

Argentina faces France on Sunday in the World Cup final, which began in Qatar on November 20.
