Turkish security authorities have arrested 13 suspects in an operation targeting the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Istanbul.

Security sources said that the Anti-Terrorism Division teams of the Istanbul Security Directorate carried out a security operation on Saturday to arrest people.

They are suspected of working for ISIS and planning to carry out terrorist activities in the city.

The sources added that the teams carried out simultaneous operations at 15 addresses in 7 districts in Istanbul, and arrested 13 suspects of foreign nationalities.

They are suspected of being members of ISIS without further details about their nationalities.

The sources indicated that the teams seized large quantities of regulatory documents and digital materials with the addresses of the detainees.
