Car and passenger traffic in Istanbul increased before the weekend while there was heavy traffic on the main arteries, especially at the participation points, and there was also a crowd of public transport vehicles and stops.
There is also heavy traffic at some points on the D-100 motorway and the TEM motorway.
The traffic that starts in Bahçelievler on the D-100 motorway is dense, and continues smoothly in some places until Zincirlikuyu.
On the Anatolian side, there is a traffic jam on the D-100 motorway in the direction of Maltepe, Pendik Tavşantepe, Göztepe, the direction of Kadıköy, Altunizade, Çamlıca and July 15 Martyrs’ Bridge.

Renovation work is underway in Unkapanı
After the demolition of the Unkapanı Junction due to the renovation work and construction of the tram tunnel by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), the traffic intensity is experienced in the area.
Renovation work has been initiated by IMM on the grounds that there is a risk of collapse in an ongoing potential earthquake.
For this reason, traffic has stopped on Ataturk Street in the direction of Unkapanı Taksim.
Once again, there were queues of vehicles on Raghib Gumuskala Street on the road from Unkapanı to Eminönü.
On the other hand, the traffic in the area is slow due to the intersection works in front of Bahçelievler Kuyumcukent.
