Turkish Airlines received the “Best Airline in Europe” award presented by the international air transport rating agency Skytrax.
According to a statement issued by Turkish Airlines on Monday, the company was chosen as the best airline in Europe for the ninth time at the World Airlines Awards held in London.
The statement added that Turkish Airlines also received the awards for “Best Hospitality Service in the World for Business Class” and “Best Airline in Southern Europe.”
At the ceremony, Turkish Airlines General Manager Bilal Akşı received the awards on behalf of the company, and said in a speech during the ceremony: “We are pleased to receive these prestigious awards from Skytrax.”
Akşı added: “Being named Best Airline in Europe, Best Airline in Southern Europe and being recognized for our world-class business class catering is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team.”
For his part, Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, said: “We congratulate Turkish Airlines on being chosen as the best airline in Europe, which has achieved success in such a competitive region for the ninth time and demonstrated that it is the favorite of its customers.”
