Ersoy meets with officials of the Turkish Republic of Cyprus

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy held a series of meetings with officials of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, led by President Arsene Tatar, as part of an official visit.

Ersoy first visited the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Culture of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Fikri Aotaoglu, and was later received by Cypriot President Arsene Tatar.

During the meeting, President Tatar expressed his thanks to the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which contributed to the restoration of the Brutality Museum (embodies the bloody Christmas incident 1963 at the hands of a group of Greek Cypriots).

Tatar stressed the importance of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus being able to participate in Turkish tourism promotion activities, noting that Ankara has made great progress in this regard.

Later, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Zorlu Tora, received Minister Ersoy.

Tora pointed out that TIKA has carried out important work in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, expressing his thanks to it.
