Erdogan: We’ll preserve Anatolia as the homeland of the Turks forever

“We will preserve Anatolia as the homeland of the Turks forever, and we will continue to work with all our might to ensure that our people live in prosperity and security,” President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.

This came in a message published by President Erdogan on Friday on the occasion of the 740th anniversary of the death of Ertugrul Gazi (father of the founder of the Ottoman Empire).

And the Yorok (Nomadic Turks) festivals, according to a statement from the Communications Department in the Presidency of the Republic.

Erdogan had mercy on Ertuğrul Ghazi, who with his courage and wisdom laid the foundations of a world state that directed history, starting from the Sogut region of Bilecik state.

He added that Ertuğrul Ghazi is one of the great personalities who led the Turkish nation in the process of starting from a small principality in Anatolia (Emirate of the Turkish Kayi tribe) to a global state (Ottoman Empire).

He explained that the plane tree (meaning the Ottoman Empire) planted by Ertugrul Ghazi and his son Osman Bey (the founder of the state) lived under it.

With different affiliations, and in peace and security for centuries under the umbrella of justice.

Erdogan stressed that the state system built by his ancestors and setting an example for the world throughout history and the unity and solidarity of his nation is the most precious heritage of his country.

He indicated that Turkey is moving confidently towards its future goals by preserving its rooted civilization and glorious history.

“We will preserve Anatolia as the homeland of the Turks forever, and we will continue to work with all our might to ensure that our people live in prosperity and security,” he said.

Erdogan concluded his message with mercy on the great Turkish personalities who made their mark in the country.

At the forefront of them are Sultan Alp Arslan, Ertuğrul Ghazi, Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and all the heroes who fought for the unity and solidarity of the Turkish people.

And Ertugrul bin Suleiman Shah, the leader of the Qayi tribe of the Muslim Oghuz Turks (Turkmen), and the father of Osman I, founder of the Ottoman Empire (656 AH / 1258 AD / 726 AH / 1326 AD).
