President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, “Turkey, as a state and a people, stands by its Palestinian brothers as it has done throughout history.”
This came in a post on “X” on Wednesday on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, which falls on November 29 of each year.
President Erdogan added, “We will accelerate our communications to release the hostages and make the ceasefire permanent. Our initiatives will continue in a multidimensional manner.”
He explained that “Turkish humanitarian aid to the brothers in the Gaza Strip is still continuing.”
Erdogan pointed out that “Turkey has provided, as of today (Wednesday), 12 planes and one ship loaded with relief materials to the (Egyptian) city of Al-Arish.”
He stated, “The second aid ship carrying 1,500 tons of humanitarian aid materials set off today for the port of Al-Arish.”
Erdogan pointed out that “Turkey is responsible for treating the injured, especially children and cancer patients, by transporting them to it, in addition to identifying the places where field hospitals will be built in the Gaza Strip.”
