Erdogan visits the “Unknown Soldier” monument in the Ukrainian capital

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday visited the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, where he laid a wreath for the victims of World War II.

Erdogan arrived in Ukraine on Thursday afternoon for an official visit at the invitation of his counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

Erdogan is accompanied on his visit by his wife Emine, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez, Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu and Defense Minister Hulusi Akar.

He is also accompanied by Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalin, Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun, and a number of officials.

Later, Erdogan will attend the tenth meeting of the high-level strategic council between the two countries.

Then a number of agreements were signed prior to the joint press conference of the two presidents.
