Erdogan tours hazelnut fields in Urdu

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan toured the hazelnut fields in the northern state of Ordu on Saturday.

This came while he was traveling from the airport to the city of Ordu to participate in the opening ceremony of a number of service and development projects in the state.

During the tour, Erdogan exchanged talks with farmers in the hazelnut fields, where he briefed them on their expectations regarding the prices of hazelnuts during the current year.

Turkey produces about 75 percent of the total global production of hazelnuts, and about 60 percent of it is produced in the country in the states of Ordu, Rize, Giresun, Trabzon and Artwin, all overlooking the Black Sea.
