Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that NATO’s expansion policy will not benefit Turkey and the alliance “unless security sensitivities are taken into account.”
,This came in a speech he delivered during his participation in the ceremony to start the construction of a local submarine in the western province of Kocaeli.

Erdogan said, “Turkey, as a country that has paid a price for NATO, wants to see concrete steps related to its national security rather than loose diplomatic statements.”
Regarding the establishment of local submarines, Erdogan said: “We plan to hand over our local submarine to our navy within 5-6 years.
