Erdogan congratulates the Turks on Republic Day

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the Turks on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic on October 29, 1923.

This came in a message published by Erdogan through his account on the “X” platform on Sunday, in which he said: “We witness with pride and enthusiasm the arrival of the centenary of the founding of our republic.”

He added: “I congratulate from the bottom of my heart all our citizens in Turkey and those living around the world on Republic Day, October 29.”

In the same context, the Presidency published, through its “X” account, a congratulatory message on the occasion of Republic Day, in which it said: “We respectfully commemorate all our heroes, led by the founder of our republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who struggled selflessly to win the War of Independence and made this land our homeland.”

It added: “We will continue to work with all our energy to elevate the Turkish Republic, which we founded by making great sacrifices 100 years ago, and to bring it to a level comparable to contemporary civilizations.”

Turkey celebrates “Republic Day” on October 29 of each year, which is the anniversary of the declaration of the republic by its founder, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, in 1923.
