Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday congratulated the Islamic world on the occasion of Ashura, which falls on the tenth day of the month of Muharram.

In a tweet, Erdogan expressed his hope that the day of Ashura and the month of Muharram will bring goodness to the Islamic world.
The Turkish president had mercy on the “Lord of the Martyrs” Hussein bin Ali, the grandson of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, on the anniversary of his martyrdom, and on the martyrs of Karbala in general.
