Erdogan congratulates King of Morocco

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated King Mohammed VI of Morocco on the anniversary of his accession to the throne of the Kingdom.

This came in a congratulatory message sent by the Turkish president to the Moroccan monarch on the 23rd anniversary of the Throne Day (his accession to power), published by the official Moroccan News Agency.

In the telegram, Erdogan offered, in his own name and on behalf of the Turkish people, sincere congratulations to His Majesty the King and to the brotherly and friendly Moroccan people, reiterating his “desire to continue developing the existing friendly relations between the two countries.”

“Thanks to our will and joint efforts, we are making a strong contribution to promoting peace, stability and tranquility in our region,” President Erdoğan added.

He expressed his best wishes for the good health and well-being of the Moroccan monarch, and “prosperity and prosperity for the friendly and brotherly Moroccan people,” according to the same source.

Throne Day (national holiday) falls on July 30 of each year, the date of Mohammed VI’s assumption of power, succeeding the late King Hassan II in 1999.
