Erdogan and Putin discuss bilateral relations and regional files

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin bilateral relations and a number of regional and international files of common interest.

This came in a telephone conversation between them on Sunday, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Communication Department in the Turkish Presidency.

The statement indicated that Erdogan and Putin discussed, in the phone call, the steps to be taken to strengthen relations between the two countries.

The statement added that the two leaders discussed the latest regional and international developments, particularly Syria, Libya and the Caucasus region.
