A discussions to enhance cooperation between Mauritania and Turkey

Mauritanian Director General of National Security Mesqarou Ould Sidi and Turkish Ambassador to Nouakchott Cem Kahayaoglu held talks on Tuesday on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries’ police services.

The General Administration of National Security said in a brief statement that the talks took place at the headquarters of the General Administration in the capital, Nouakchott, and were attended by officials from both countries.

It added that the visit of the Turkish ambassador to the headquarters of the National Security Administration is part of the framework of strengthening cooperation relations between the two police agencies in the two countries.

Since February 2018, relations between Turkey and Mauritania have undergone a remarkable development following the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Nouakchott.

This visit witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, and investment.
