Çavuşoğlu: We are planning President Erdogan’s visit to the UAE

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu said that work is underway to plan the upcoming visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the United Arab Emirates on February 14-15.

This came in a press statement he made on Wednesday after official meetings he held in the UAE.

Cavusoglu referred to the start of work related to President Erdogan’s visit to the United Arab Emirates.

On the other hand, Çavuşoğlu said that his country will appoint its former ambassador to Washington, Serdar Kilic, as a special representative to normalize relations with Armenia.

He pointed out that there were positive statements exchanged in the context of normalization with Armenia.

He added, “We consult with Azerbaijan on all issues, and we are taking these steps with the knowledge of Azerbaijan.

No one should ask whether we can act independently or separately from Azerbaijan. We are one people in two states, and these are positive things that will benefit everyone.”

Cavusoglu stressed the need to take steps to increase confidence.

He continued, “On the one hand, steps are being taken to increase confidence between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and on the other hand.

We have seen it useful to take steps to increase confidence between us and Armenia in parallel with the steps between Azerbaijan and Armenia.”
