He pointed out that strengthening the transport infrastructure will facilitate the flow of trade, indicating that linking the countries of the Middle East with East Asia will benefit everyone.
He stressed that Turkey’s relations with Saudi Arabia and the UAE have gained momentum recently, and said, “We can work on different projects with these two countries, especially since the Emirati and Qatari administrations attach importance to Central Asia, as we can link these countries to the South Caucasus and Central Asia by land.”
Çavuşoğlu explained that the Ukrainian war is an important test and highlighted the importance of safe and sustainable transportation lines.
He stressed that the war showed the fragility of the global system regarding energy and food security, stressing that Turkey is continuing its diplomatic efforts to reach a just solution.
