Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu discussed with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi bilateral relations and regional and international issues of concern to the two countries.

This came during their meeting in Istanbul, according to what Çavuşoğlu posted on his Twitter account on Friday.
The Turkish minister said: “I am pleased to welcome the Japanese Foreign Minister to our country.
We discussed our bilateral relations with Japan, our strategic partner, in addition to emerging regional and international issues.”
The meeting witnessed the signing of Serhat Koksal, Director of Foreign Economic Relations at the Turkish Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
The Japanese Ambassador to Ankara, Kazuhiro Suzuki, signed an agreement on the “Environmental Development Project for Local Administrations” under the auspices of the two ministers.
