US President Joe Biden issued a telegram of condolences to former US Secretary of State and Chief of Staff Colin Powell.

He died at the age of 84 due to Coronavirus.

In a written statement, US President Joe Biden said he was deeply saddened by the passing of former US Secretary of State and Chief of Staff Colin Powell.

He asserted that Powell devoted a large part of his life to fulfilling American promises and advised 4 American presidents.

Powell emphasized that Powell had worked closely with him as a senator as long as he was national security adviser, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of State, and said that even when they disagreed, Powell had not lost his respect.

Biden offered his condolences to the Powell family, saying, “Colin Powell was a good man, and the world will remember him as one of the greatest Americans.”
