The Bahraini Shura Council Speaker Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh praised on Wednesday the historical relations between his country and Turkey.
This came during his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Manama, Essen Çakıl, in the capital, Manama, according to the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

The agency reported that “the Speaker of the Shura Council praised, during his meeting, the process of historical relations that brought together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Turkey, and the reciprocal visits of officials and parliamentarians during that meeting.”
Al-Saleh also praised “the frameworks of cooperation between the two friendly countries at various levels, including the economic and commercial fields and legislative work.”
For her part, the Turkish ambassador expressed her “appreciation and pride in the existing bilateral relations between the two countries.”
She emphasized “the keenness to expand areas of cooperation in a way that enhances and serves common interests,” according to the same source.

On July 8, Bahraini Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al-Saleh also praised the good relations between her country and Turkey when she received the Turkish ambassador in her country, according to the Bahraini agency.
