A Turkish soldier dies of wounds in clashes with terrorists

On Monday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the death of one of its soldiers from wounds sustained in clashes with terrorists in northern Iraq.

The Ministry of Defense said in a statement that clashes erupted on Sunday between the Turkish army and PKK terrorists in the “Al-Makhalab-Al-Qafl” scientific area.

The statement added that a soldier was wounded in these clashes and later died of his injuries.

On April 18, Turkey launched Operation Claw-Lock against the strongholds of the “PKK” terrorist organization in the areas of Matina, Zab, and Afshin-Basian in northern Iraq.
