Turkey set a record in exports of the textile sector and its raw materials, amounting to 9 billion and 563 million dollars in the first 11 months of this year.
According to data from the Turkish Exporters Council, the sector recorded an increase of 13.9 percent between January and November 2022 compared to the same period last year.
The volume of the sector’s exports last November amounted to $846 million.

Istanbul’s share was the largest in the sector’s exports in November with 367 million dollars, followed by Gaziantep with 132 million dollars, followed by Bursa with 105 million dollars.
The largest destination for exports of the textile sector and its raw materials in November was Italy with 69 million dollars, then Belarus with 53 million dollars, then the United States with 40 million dollars.
Turkey’s total exports between January and November increased by 13.9 percent compared to the same period last year, to reach $231.2 billion.
