The State Department has issued a message regarding floods and landslides in India and Nepal in recent days.
The statement, which stated that more than 100 people lost their lives:

“It is with great sadness that we learned that there are many wounded and missing and that the rains continue to cause material damage and loss of life in both countries.
We express our sincere condolences to the relatives of those who lost their lives in the disasters, and to the friendly peoples and governments of Nepal and India, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured, and hope that no more lives are lost.”
