The number of companies established in Turkey during the month of January increased by 33.6 percent compared to the same month of last year.

The number of companies established increased by 33.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of established cooperatives also increased by 19.3%.
Last month, 11,428 companies and cooperatives were established. 87.1 percent of this was limited companies.
As of January, 4,858 companies were established in the commercial sector, 1,987 in the industrial sector and 1,285 in the construction sector.
36.9% of the established companies are in Istanbul.
The number of closed companies decreased compared to the same month of the previous year, by 55.1 percent.
