Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre stressed on Wednesday that Turkey stands by the government and people of his country in the most difficult times.
This came during his meeting with the new Turkish Ambassador to Mogadishu, Alper Aktash, according to the official Somali News Agency.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
Barre congratulated the Turkish ambassador on his appointment to his position.
He pointed out that Turkey is a sister country that stood by the government and people of Somalia in difficult times and provided the necessary support to rebuild the state.
In turn, Ambassador Aktash pledged to work to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
