Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday that the Israeli government continues to violate all human values in the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish President’s statement came in a speech he delivered at the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.
Erdogan pointed out that “women and children constitute 73 percent of the approximately 11,000 residents of Gaza who were brutally killed by Israel.”
He stated that “the Israeli government continues to bomb schools, mosques, churches, hospitals and universities in Gaza, violating all human values.”

The Turkish President indicated that his country sent more than 230 tons of humanitarian aid on board 10 planes to Al-Arish Airport in preparation for its delivery to Gaza “in cooperation with our Egyptian brothers.”
Regarding the devastating war that Israel has been waging on the Gaza Strip for 34 days, Erdogan asked: “As Muslims and members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, when will we raise our voice if we do not raise it now?”
On another level, Erdogan pointed out that the Economic Cooperation Organization enjoys an important position, with a population of 500 million members and a total income of $1.5 trillion.
