Erdogan congratulates the Moroccan national team

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan congratulated the Moroccan national team on the occasion of its achievement of reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup.

This came in a tweet in Arabic, which he posted on Saturday evening, through his Twitter account.

Erdogan said, “I congratulate from the bottom of my heart the Moroccan national team, which is the first African team to achieve the achievement of reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup.”

“I also congratulate all our Moroccan brothers on this achievement,” he added.

And after its victory over Portugal with a goal without a response in the World Cup Qatar 2022, Morocco became the first Arab and African team to qualify for the World Cup semi-finals.

The Moroccan national team is the first African team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Cup since 2010.

It is also the fourth African team to reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup after Cameroon 1990, Senegal 2002 and Ghana 2010.

Millions of Moroccan fans were overwhelmed by joy after their country’s national team reached the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in the history of Arab and African countries.
