Referring to the country’s readiness to resolve bilateral disputes with Greece on the basis of bilateral talks, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Aksoy said: “Of course, Turkey and Turkish Cyprus will take steps to win their rights and interests.”
According to Turkish news agencies, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Aksoy said, in response to Greece, which criticized the new announcement of the new Turkish ship Nautex in the Mediterranean waters, that Turkey is carrying out its regional activities in accordance with international law.
“Greece, which has again made baseless allegations in this regard, has again made its exaggerated claims, and has staged vain protests against Ankara after Turkey announced Nautex.
Referring to Turkey’s willingness to resolve differences between the two sides on the basis of bilateral talks, Aksoy said: “Of course, our country and the Turkish Cypriots will take measures to win their rights and interests.”
The spokesman for the Turkish Foreign Ministry added that Greece should avoid taking steps that would increase tensions, rather than making baseless allegations and complaining to third parties as usual.
To resolve the bilateral disputes in addition to the issues of the Eastern Mediterranean, we call on Greece once again to negotiate without preconditions.
