Standard & Poor’s raises its forecast for the growth of the Turkish economy

Standard & Poor’s has raised its forecast for the growth of the Turkish economy for 2022 to 5.2 percent and 2.8 percent for 2023.

In a report issued Thursday entitled “Global Economic Prospects”, the agency stated that the Turkish economy achieved during the second quarter of the year growth that exceeded expectations.

The report added that the strong activity of the tourism sector in Turkey is expected to continue until the beginning of the winter months.

In its report, the agency expected a sharp contraction in the eurozone economy during the coming period.
