Cappadocia balloons raise the flag of Turkey in celebration of today

Thermal balloons in the famous tourist region of Cappadocia in central Turkey raised the country’s flag and portraits of the founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, in celebration of Childhood Day and National Sovereignty.

The balloons decorated with flags and images of Ataturk took off from the district of “Goremi” with the rising of the sun, the most prominent of which was a huge balloon in the form of the Turkish flag.

The historical and tourist region of Cappadocia is famous for its underground cities and fairy chimneys, or what is called in the Arab deserts “devil’s tables”, which were formed as a result of erosion and erosion factors.

In addition to the historical places, local and foreign tourists enjoy seeing the scenic views from the sky through the balloon flights that spread in Cappadocia.

The National Day falls on April 23 of each year, the date on which the cornerstone of the Turkish Republic was laid and the Grand National Assembly was inaugurated in 1920.

It is noteworthy that the founder of the republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, dedicated the National Sovereignty Day to all the children of the world, and therefore the name of the holiday was changed to “Childhood and National Sovereignty.”
