Besiktas deepened the wounds of its guest Altay Izmir after its victory over it 1-0 on Saturday in the 26th round of the Turkish Super League.
The winner of last season’s titleholder came in the 64th minute through a corner kick taken by Algerian Rachid Ghazal, and the veteran Croatian Domajov Vida rose to it and headed it into the net.

With this result, Besiktas managed to achieve its first victory after three consecutive draws against Adana Demirspor (1-1), Antalyaspor (0-0), and Malatyaspor (1-1).
Besiktas climbed to fifth place temporarily after raising his score to 41 points, while Altay Izmir suffered his 16th loss this season and continued to suffer in the nineteenth place with 22 points.
