WHO: Coronavirus deaths in Europe increased by 10%

In the weekly report of the World Health Organization (WHO), it was reported that deaths due to coronavirus in Europe increased by 10 percent and that the number of cases increased by 7 percent compared to the previous week.

The World Health Organization (WHO) weekly report on the Coronavirus includes detailed data on the world and regions.

“In the week of November 1-7, 2021, a 1 percent increase in cases was observed worldwide, and just over 3.1 million new cases were reported.

The WHO European Region reported a 7 percent increase in new weekly cases compared to the previous week, while other regions declined.

Similarly, the European region reported a 10 percent increase in new deaths, while other regions reported decreases.

Globally, more than 48,000 new deaths were reported, down 4 percent from the previous week.

Hans Kluge, WHO’s regional director for Europe, said in a statement last week, drawing attention to the increase in cases in Europe.

“Coronavirus cases are approaching record levels again, we are at the epicenter again.

Stressing that the increase in the number of cases is cause for concern, Kluge said, “Today, every country in Europe and Central Asia is facing the threat of or is already fighting a new wave.

The current rate of spread of the virus in 53 countries in the European Region of the World Health Organization is a matter of grave concern.
