On Sunday, the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the neutralization of 5 PKK terrorists in northern Iraq.
The ministry said in a statement that 3 terrorists were neutralized by targeting them with artillery and helicopters after they were spotted in the area of Operation Claw of Lightning.
It indicated that other terrorists were neutralized in an airstrike after monitoring their readiness to carry out an attack in the “Al-Zab” area.

On April 23, Turkey launched operations “Claw of Lightning” and “Claw of Lightning” simultaneously against PKK terrorists in the areas of “Matina” and “Afshin-Basyan”, in northern Iraq.
The security forces and the Turkish army have been targeting PKK terrorist sites and pursuing its members inside the country, northern Iraq, and Syria.
This comes in response to terrorist attacks carried out by the separatist organization inside Turkey from time to time, targeting civilians, security personnel, and the army.
