Scientists from the University of Cambridge have taken an important step in the search for extraterrestrial life.

Where astronomers who conducted their research outside the solar system discovered a new type of planet they called “Hycean”.

According to research published in The Astrophysical Journal, these planets, which are 2.5 times larger than Earth and covered by 90 percent of warm oceans, also have hydrogen-rich atmospheres.

And the presence of water on the planet Hycean could prove the existence of extraterrestrial life.

The large size of these planets also makes them easy to study, and experts hope to be able to detect the first sign of life within 2-3 years.

Since some planets do not revolve around themselves, one side is always light and the other side is dark.

And by saying that the bright side is very hot because they are close to the sun in the system in which it is located, scientists estimate that life would only be possible on the dark side.

So far, scientists have mostly searched for planets of the same size, mass, temperature, and composition as Earth’s atmosphere.
