Turkey records 59 new deaths from the Coronavirus

On Friday, the Turkish Ministry of Health announced that 59 deaths and 6,670 new infections with the Coronavirus had been recorded in the country in the last 24 hours.

The ministry said in a statement that 228,826 tests were conducted to detect the virus, noting that the number of people recovered reached 5,126.

With regard to vaccination operations, the ministry indicated that the proportion of recipients of the first dose of anti-vaccines for those over 18 years old was 60.35 percent, and the percentage of recipients of the first and second doses was 27.02 percent.

She added that the number of first, second, and third doses used throughout the country in the last 24 hours amounted to 827,975.

She added that the total number of vaccine doses used since the start of the vaccination campaign rose to 57 million 19,923.

Among them, 37 million, 459,120 received the first dose, 16,770,701 received the second dose, and two million, 790,102 received the third dose.
