6 Turkish universities are among the top 500 in the world

Six Turkish universities are ranked among the top 500 universities in the world, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds Foundation, which specializes in education, known by the abbreviation “QS”.

The United Kingdom-based organization revealed the “QS Sustainability 2024” classification, in which it evaluates the performance of universities around the world according to the categories of “environmental impact,” “social impact,” and “governance.”

The Turkish Higher Education Council stated in a statement on Saturday that the QS Foundation sent it the report prepared specifically for Turkey regarding the QS Sustainability 2024 classification according to the aforementioned categories.

According to the report, 6 Turkish universities were among the top 500 universities in the world and 17 universities were among the top 1,000 universities.

The universities are: “Istanbul Technical” ranked 221, “Middle East Technical” ranked 224, “Bosphorus” ranked 335, “Yıldız Technical” ranked 405, “Goç” ranked 408, and “Hacettepe” 408.
